Whio

Spotted in caostal wetland section while entering the park.

Seen at the bottom of waterfall creek (up from the awaroa estuary)

We saw this whio on Coquille Bay

Three Whio, One rd banded. Two without bands. Lower Falls river. Also saw a southern right whale up close but no report function for that.

In Torrent River Canyon, sighted where we have our big zipline set up. Can possibly get the photo if youd like :)

Under the torrent river bridge. At least one was male as i heard it call. Banded birds. Left blue, right nothing.
Left black, right nothing

Up the Rameka creek.
2 x blue duck seen swimming together on a very regular basis.
It seems there is a large hydro scene may be going in which will destroy the habitat in which they and other life live!!
