Saw little blue penguin in glow worm cave nw of anchorage hut

Nz falcon flying over Adele Island ..had pale gray striped underside; other birds flew away from it

A lone Hector's dolphin off Pickersgill Island, Marlborough Sounds

Piwakawaka but a black brown all over very unusual. Never seen anything like it... Had a normal partner flying with them.

A small possum up a tree outside the toilets on the south side. Onetahuti campsite. Please kill it quickly 😃

I saw dog prints off the leash on the beach between arawoa hut and awaroa lodge. In front of the batches. I would imagine dogs off the leash are not allowed around all the oyster catchers?

We saw a dead blue penguin on a beach just abpve the main mutton cove beach. We also saw a dead blue penguin on a beach just above anapai the next day. The penguins were untouched and with the driftwood. But looked freshly dead. Not sure they were blue penguins but very tiny and looked similar.

Stoat running around at the huffam site, bark bay.

There’s a burrow here with what looked like a bird in it. It was so noisy and I have a video but I could only attach a photo. It sounded like a recording and made the noises constantly.
