Weka

He was eating the rest of a fish near the water. More precisely in the river which goes in the ocean. Near the Tonga Quarry Campsite.

You will not see him on the picture because I saw him after the picture with my smartphone. But I have it on my camera.

We saw 3 maybe 4 outside the Anchorage hut

At the Bark Bay rest area 2 weka watched us eat our lunch with great interest, one pecked my husbands toe 😂
