Heard then saw 2 Kaka just off the Wainui track. They were about 50m off the track between traplines 99 & 100. They were hanging around a tree - hopefully on a nest?...

Between trap lines 103 & 102 to the left of the wainui track heading towards Wainui Hut (west?) 2 trees with mistletoe flowering, one about 50m in & one a bit further. Sorry photos are crap!

Kaka heard loud and clear then seen just past the last biggish river crossing 15 mins before the Wainui hut. Then seen again flying over the wainui hut at lunch time. Sorry couldnt see any bands it /they were too high
