Kaka

Viewed in the trees by the Bark Bay hut. I'm unable to upload the picture I took on my phone's camera app into this app via the photo library button. When I press that button, my android pixel 5a flashes as though it's going to open the photo library but then no photos are shown

Kaka sighting at anchorage hikers hut

Heard the call of the kaka and then saw it fly out of the trees.

I saw the bird on the track from Anchorage to Bark Bay right after the trail to Medlands beach splits off.
It had a orange band on its left leg and a silver/metal one on the right leg

Walk from torrent bay to Onetahuti.
I think just after we passed bark bay. It was 45min after we crossed the falls river swingbridge. There where the sand on the track inland is not dark, but white. I’ll also add a photo of the white sand to help you get the location

Saw kaka between Torrent Bay and half way pond in Bark Bay direction.
