4 kaka seen in the trees in the centre of appletree bay

Beside track eating pine cone, about 2 minutes from Bark Bay hut

Spotted between torrent bay village and the falls swing bridge, appeared to be small likely a juvenile

About 5 of them flying around bark bay hut

Saw about three kākā at Bark Bay Hut this morning, and one yesterday on the way there.

Watched a kaka by the track just north of Bark Bay hut. He climbed a ponga trunk to eat rata flowers. My photos weren't good enough to send you. He had an orange leg band. Location was at trap 48 - the exact ponga trunk where the blue trap marker is.
