Kaka

Kaka seen on track very soon after leaving Bark Bay toward Awaroa. Before first swing bridge. Kaka flew very low and close to us, could feel the air disturbance. Then posed on a tree at head height and we observed him/her for a while. Seemed unperturbed by us speaking to him/her and taking photos. Had a silver band. Beautiful bird and so nice to see in the park.

Between Tonga Quarry and Bark Bay, it had a yellow and silver band on the feet. I have a video too. Feel free to contact me if you need it.

Location was Anchorage hut grounds.
Bird had an orange leg tag.
Was seen chewing the bark on a tree!
