Seen near the path down to medlands beach. A solitary kākā climbing up and down the tree. I took a video which it won’t let me upload unfortunately

We spotted the toutouwai on the ground just before crossing the stream at cleopatras pool

Kaka seen on track very soon after leaving Bark Bay toward Awaroa. Before first swing bridge. Kaka flew very low and close to us, could feel the air disturbance. Then posed on a tree at head height and we observed him/her for a while. Seemed unperturbed by us speaking to him/her and taking photos. Had a silver band. Beautiful bird and so nice to see in the park.
