We saw a dead blue penguin on a beach just abpve the main mutton cove beach. We also saw a dead blue penguin on a beach just above anapai the next day. The penguins were untouched and with the driftwood. But looked freshly dead. Not sure they were blue penguins but very tiny and looked similar.

Stoat running around at the huffam site, bark bay.

Midlands beach kaiteriteri side of Bark Bay 2 were spotted getting up close to a fellow wilson boat awaiter.
Did not take a photo as didnt have this app at the time, so didnt realize it was something to look out for

At Bark bay i saw 3 but suspect there were more, they were very vocal it was spectacular. Only managed to video one, and three screenshots of the video attached. This was from the walkway right at the entrance to bark bay,. There was another 2 in the pohutukawa. Too far for a phone camera to identify so i didnt bother.

There’s a burrow here with what looked like a bird in it. It was so noisy and I have a video but I could only attach a photo. It sounded like a recording and made the noises constantly.
