Between Anchorage hut and the bay I the trees, also earlier in the day walking from Apple tree bay once.

I saw the bird about 30 minutes walk before the suspension bridge, I was coming from bark bay. I was sitting on the side of the track, in an area in the sun (they are quite rare). I took several photos and I have tried to attach one in this report. Hope I have been successful. I'm not a specialist and maybe it is not a kaka.8

I saw a Kaka about 10 minutes from Anchorage Bay (between Bark Bay and Anchorage). The bird was on a dead tree right above me and was noisily breaking bark off the tree for several minutes. The bird had a green tag on one leg and a silver tag on the other.

Pretty sure we saw a kaka flying above the tree canopy as we set out from Awaroa Hut along the track to Bark Bay.
