Kaka

Kaka swooped overhead and then settled on a tree. This was on the 'high tide' walk into Bark Bay, between the two bridges

Saw 4 Kaka in the trees above me on the Inland track an hour south of Awapoto hut.

Heard a Kaka fly over at Holyoake shelter.

About 100 metres from the Bark Bay hut on right hand side of path as you go towards the suspension bridge. Saw two of them together.

A pair of kaka feedimg on flax at the northern end of Torrent Bay. Too dark to get tag i/d or colour but they let us get very close. Flew off just before photp was allowed 😬
