Had left picnic table at Tonga Quarry and started trail to walk to Medlands Bay. Can’t quite remember exactly where Weka was sighted but can’t have been too far along trail

We were waiting for Wilsons Abel Tasman boat at Medlands Bay sat on the wooden bench on the left hand side of the path as you descend from the public toilets towards the bay and the Weka appeared from the vegetation behind the bench

I've seen a wild pig in the forest on the way from Anchorage campsite to Pits Head. She was followed by her 4-5 babies. The spot was 20mins walk from the campsite.

15 mins towards Bark bay from Falls river.
